Michelle Mele is a multifaceted interior design firm based in Seattle.

Known for creating refined yet functional interiors, we design spaces with unconventional details that never sacrifice livability for style. Working closely with clients, builders, and specialty fabricators, we craft integrated designs that feel personal and elevated. 

Having worked for nearly two decades on residential and commercial projects around the world, Michelle brings deep knowledge and technical expertise in all phases of design and construction. Working with award-winning Nicole Hollis Design in San Francisco and Hoedemaker Pfeiffer in Seattle, among others, Michelle has experience managing all aspects of design projects from start to finish.

Our process is grounded in a holistic design approach for your unique style and needs.

We begin all projects from an architectural point of view, considering a building’s existing elements before layering on finishes, furnishings, and textiles. We use a range of presentation graphics such as mood boards, material palettes, and technical drawings to aid in concept development and final execution. Our goal is to provide you with knowledge and options to make informed, empowered decisions about your space.

Our collaborative approach means we work closely with fabricators, artisans, builders, and tradespeople to create the best possible design, always looking for efficiencies along the way. We combine off-the-shelf and custom elements for designs that fit your budget, while incorporating surprising details that will stand the test of time.
